While I was in college, my family moved out of the area, which made it more difficult to stay connected to friends, including many of you. So I am profoundly sorry for that. :(
My dad passed away last October of coronary artery disease. My mother is still hangin in, and my two sisters and she live in Louisiana where my mother has family property. Both sisters have two children.
Since high school, I have lived in Annapolis, Md., Atlanta (three different times), Boston, Cleveland, San Diego, Philadelphia, the NYC area...and now the Bay Area, where I reside now with my partner of 17 years and our Airedale. Let's just say I have been very mobile...
I have been connected to higher education all my life as a lifelong learner (BA in English, Masters degrees in Career Counseling and Human Resources, and am currently a doctoral candidate in Adult Education. I have a private practice as a Life Coach in adddition to my regular job, and always writing. I have worked at 9 different colleges and universities, most of that time as Director of Admissions wherever I have been. I am currently the Vice President for Enrollment Management at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. We have just gained independent University status, and will be come Sofia University in July.
I have played adult competitive softball for the last 13 years, and, notably, in 4 softball world series tournaments in a large national softball association (ok...so I am the old, fat guy on the team). But I can still hit the ball.
I would have given ANYTHING to join you all at any of our recent reunions. In some ways, I have more vivid memories from junior high than high school.
